New official announcement on May 18, 2020 (Automatic visa extended for travelers policy)

Case 1: For foreigners entry Vietnam after March 1, 2020 under Electronic visa (E-visa), Tourist visa, free visa, you will have your visa automatic extended until June 30, 2020 with some conditions:
1. Registered your resident at the police station in your district area
2. Registered the Medical declaration form: https://tokhaiyte.vn/
*NOTICE: For foreigners with the intent to leave Vietnam before June 30, 2020 only, for those who wish to stay after June 30, you still have to extend your visa as normal.

Case 2: For foreigners entry Vietnam before March 1, 2020 under Electronic visa (E-visa), Tourist visa, free visa, your visa can be considered to get automatic extended until June 30, 2020 with some conditions:
Registered your resident at the police station in your district area
Registered the Medical declaration form: https://tokhaiyte.vn/
Certified letter/ paper from your country embassy on your situation (Ex: Cannot exit Vietnam due to COVID-19 outbreak, flights got canceled, borders closed…) OR Certificate on curing COVID-19 at Vietnam hospitals OR Certificate on getting quarantine in Vietnam
*NOTICE: For foreigners with the intent to leave Vietnam before June 30, 2020 only, for those who wish to stay after June 30, you still have to extend your visa as normal.
